never got done, and its rather old, but i hardly submit any more, and what i did get done im rather proud of. it was a painting about a song done by a band called nofx, named "wore out the soles in my party boots" its been a song i've liked since... well... a really long time. so anyway, enjoy. maybe someday it will get finished, but probably not. so just enjoy it for what i got done.
i would post the lyrics, but, yanno, rather explicit. dude in the middle is fat mike.

also, on a totally unrelated note, i lost my wacom pen ]:

ARGH i *HATE* losing that stupid pen!!! The CTH Series has little fabric tabs where you can slide the pen and attach it with the tablet. My current tablet is a Bamboo capture. CTE Series pens do not work on CTH series tablets, btw.
This is a well-rendered piece and really captures your unique style. If you can.. go ahead and finish it!!! I would love to see what some muted texture/color in the background would look like :)

Yeah, losing your tablet pen is definitely the bane of every digital artists process, (which is pretty much what killed this piece off for me initially, haha) I've since streamlined my workspace and have yet to lose a pen since, so that's good at least. Regardless, that fabric tab setup sounds great. And thank you! I've actually considered polishing off this piece multiple times since i produced it, but i think at this point a complete redux would be more appropriate. I think this piece still holds up for what it is, but I feel like I could really kick some ass with a complete redux, considering its been roughly 4 years since i produced this, and I've learned a lot since. Either one is a possibility though. Again, thank you for the interest and the kind words.

Hahaha, thanks. And yeah, Fat Mike is rad. And the song, obviously, as well.

i agree. it was definitely the most interesting part to work on. i designed pretty much everything after i did the vomit.

if i drew vomit that good, it would sure motivate me to finish the rest of the picture.

it did quite the opposite actually. it made the rest pale in comparison so i just gave up.
